この研究の目的は尿毒症性心筋症（UC）の心機能の変化を調査し、サルビアノール酸Ｂ（Sal B）治療の効果を心内圧力勾配（IVPG）と2Dスペックルトラッキング法（2DSTE）により評価するものです。
結果として、Sal B治療を施したUCのラットの浮腫、炎症、繊維症は潜在的に減少し、心室の剛性と繊維性が向上されましたと報告されています。
