Intraventricular pressure gradient: a promising tool to predict the post-infarction chronic congestive heart failure in rats
Congestive heart failure (CHF), the main reason for morbidity and mortality, is considered a serious consequence of myocardial infarction (MI).
This study aimed to investigate the utility of IVPG() to assess the heart function in a rat model with chronic CHF following MI with evaluating its capacity to predict these changes.
That result that Compared to the structural, and functional indices of conventional echocardiography, IVPG derived from CMME(colour M-mode echocardiography) could provide a substantial non-invasive tool to diagnose and predict CHF after long-term MI.
