  • Q:Why did you decide to participate in the Cardio Flow Design internship?

A senior from my laboratory had previously done an internship at CFD, and he referred me for the internship here. Given the similarity of the internship’s focus to our lab’s research theme, I saw it as a chance to apply what I have learned and further my knowledge.

  • Q:What was the internship work like?

Initially, I created vascular models using 3D software and analyzed these models using software developed by the company. Through these analyses, I gained a better understanding of the company’s operation. Currently, I am constructing the workflow to automate a specific process and writing actual programming code to implement it.

  • Q:Did you find any aspects of your internship experience particularly rewarding?

The fact that the programming code I developed during the internship actually being used to contribute to the company’s products and services has given me a tremendous sense of achievement and pride. Through the project, I have also had the opportunity to acquire new programming skills and discover new approaches to problem-solving, which has been a wonderful opportunity to experience personal growth. In addition to enhancing my technical skills, I have learned the importance of working in a team, receiving feedback, and continuously improving.

  • Q:What has changed among you as you participated in the internship?

Through the internship experience, my perspective has significantly broadened. Furthermore, the experience of effectively communicating my own ideas and collaborating with colleagues to advance projects has been instrumental in developing my communication skills for my work.

  • Q:Do you have any messages for students who are considering participating in an internship?

It’s a highly valuable experience to actively learn and gain practical opportunities in areas that interest you. An internship provides an excellent chance for this. By taking the courage to step forward, you can gain new perspectives, knowledge, and skills. Dedicate yourself fully to even the small tasks, grab the opportunity to learn, enjoy, and grow as much as possible.
