Determination of the dominant arch by computational fluid dynamics analysis using computed tomography images in double aortic arch
In double aortic arch, it isdifcult to assess the hemodynamics because of the strong infuence of variousanatomical features, such as the angle of the aortic bifurcation.
Therefore,Using computational fuid dynamics (CFD) analysis, they visualized the aortic blood fow during one cardiac cycle and calculated the fow volume.
As result, CFD analysis using CT imaging is a valuable method for hemodynamic assessment in patients with double aortic arch.
