Blood flow kinetic energy is a novel marker for right ventricular global systolic function in patients with left ventricular assist device therapy
This article shows that blood flow kinetic energy is a promising new marker of overall right ventricular contractile function in patients undergoing left ventricular assist device therapy. It can be a useful indicator in assessing right ventricular contractility and pump function. Future studies are expected to translate this marker into clinical applications.
